
About the Role
The Youth Development Professional (YDP) works directly with youth to create a positive and engaging daily experience. This role supports a variety of programs including STEM, arts, literacy, physical activities, E-sports, and homework assistance.
Responsibilities include supervising youth, leading and assisting with activities, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and using positive behavior management techniques. The YDP also provides academic support such as tutoring and homework help, collaborates with supervisors to meet individual youth needs, and helps maintain clean and organized program spaces.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with youth and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in their lives.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license required
Must pass a background check
Experience working with youth (childcare, camps, education) preferred but not required
Skills in teaching, tutoring, or classroom management are a plus
Understanding of child development or early childhood education is beneficial
